nginx as reverse proxy for Exchange 2010 OWA + Lync Web App Integration
I have a working deployment of Exchange 2010 and Lync Server 2010. I’ve successfully configured integration between the OWA web app and Lync, and when accessing OWA internally on the LAN chat and presence works. I publish OWA using NGINX as a reverse proxy. When accessing OWA from the reverse proxy, lync integration is mostly non-functional. The symptoms are identical to the OP on this thread, to quote: If I log into OWA through the [...]

Mfg/Model: Samsung Droid Charge Android Version: 2.3 Provider: Verizon Error: Failed to connect The user was previously receiving emails just fine on his phone, but since this morning, he hasn’t been able to receive anything. I don’t believe this is a server issue because other Android users are able to connect without any issues. I don’t believe this is an account issues because The user can access Outlook and OWA without any issues, and I [...]

When I add new mailbox to Exchange 2010 (SBS 2011), for some reason default folders are in localized language, instead of English. Funny thing is that when we add mailboxes by adding a new user, folders are in English as they should be. How to get default folders in English (in the first place), and how to rename or update these current folders? Is there a catch to do this from EMS? Thanks Asked by [...]

We are a small office with 6 computers, running Exchange 2003 on office server. Each client computer has Mozilla Thunderbird installed with IMAP connection to Exchange Server. Few days ago we discovered that there are emails missing in some mailboxes (receive period 09-2011 to 12-2011). I have checked all folders, and deleted items, but the items just disappeared. Interesting fact is that some mailboxes did not experience this same problem. What should be the next [...]

I was just thinking about how to split my C partition and move the databases and log files to separate partitions. I read that the backup process is much easier than with one big system partition including everything. What are your experiences with it? I have a 500GB drive in my server – how would you split it to have logs and databases separate? I’m running Exchange 2010 on Windows Server 2008 R2. Asked by [...]
