Documentation For The “Other” ntp (HP/Epson Printing)
Until this afternoon, I only knew ntp as network time protocol. But installed on our Windows 2008 server is a different ntp as shown below with ntp -?. I am looking for documentation above and beyond what came out in help. I want to send a duplex command to the printer. Any ideas or pointers to documnentation would be appreciated. For example, if you look at -@ as the first option, our MUNIS printing uses [...]

I have a Data General server on unix that is printing a banner page on every print. I originally thought that the banner page was comming from the printer. As this is an HP printer, I used telnet to get to the jetadmin and then proceded to disable the banner page, but this did not solve the issue. I then went into the sysadm program to see if the TCPIP printing was set to print [...]

I run CUPS printing on a number of multiuser Linux application servers. The systems are RHEL or CentOS version 4, 5 or 6. Starting the EL5, the CUPS print server defaults to an error policy that basically disables the printer when there’s an error or interruption (USB cable disconnect, network error, paper jam, etc.). This is the ErrorPolicy directive in printer’s stanza in the /etc/cups/printers.conf file. <Printer backupZ4> Info backupZ4 DeviceURI socket://backupZ4:9100 State Idle Accepting [...]

Ran into a strange issue. User connects to Citrix via Web Interface. If the user starts up an Office 2003 app, their local printer maps and shows up just fine. I couldn’t find any hotfix or patch that references this issue but it’s completely baffling me. Asked by Bo Shubinsky I ended up just writing [...]
